Craving for hot dogs lands man in the cooler

FORT MITCHELL — A Michigan man hungry for hot dogs landed in jail Saturday morning.

Aundre Black, 23, of Lansing, is accused of ramming at least 12 cars after police tried to arrest him for allegedly swiping a package of hot dogs and a bottle of orange juice from the Kroger store at Expressway Plaza on Dixie Highway.

Mr. Black faces felony charges that include fleeing, three counts of wanton endangerment and three counts of criminal mischief.

“He told investigators God wanted him to steal from the supermarket,” said Fort Mitchell Police Chief Steve Hensley.

Mr. Black was being held in the Kenton County jail Saturday night.
