Best and worst of week in sports

The Enquirer sports department's look at who rated — good and bad — this week in sports:

Best

        1. Pete Sampras: The win over Andre just proves Pete's far from washed up.

        2. Pete Sampras: How great is it to see someone with 13 Grand Slam titles still get fired up point after point?

        3. Pete Sampras: The serve, the serve, the serve!

        4. Andre Agassi: It's not often you lose a match without ever losing your serve.

        5. Pete Sampras and Andre Agassi: The match was amazing, and so is the rivalry.
The Enquirer sports department's look at who rated — good and bad — this week in sports:

Worst

        1. Justin Smith: See, it's kind of like at the airport. They really will take off without you.

        2. Indiana football: Looks like Antwaan Randle El's Heisman candidacy already has ground to a halt.

        3. NFL officials: Have they learned nothing from the MLB umpires?

        4. The Red Sox: Firing Jimy Williams hasn't exactly paid off, what with the Bosox in the tank and their star pitcher, Pedro Martinez, angry with GM Dan Duquette. But who said anything about a curse?

        5. Ryan Leaf: The NFL's most pathetic punchline just makes Colts president Bill Polian look smarter every day.
