Kalamazoo 41, Mount St. Joseph 18




        Justin Gross ran for 106 yards and two touchdowns, and wide receiver T.J. Thayer had nine receptions for 160 yards and a touchdown to lead Kalamazoo Saturday.

        Quarterback Mike Dane passed for 235 yards and a touchdown for Mount St. Joseph. Dane completed 19 of 27 passes, but threw three interceptions.

        Gross got the Hornets on the scoreboard first with a 33-yard touchdown run 1:27 into the first quarter. He also scored with 49 seconds remaining in the third quarter, on a 2-yard run.
