        Girls soccer

        New Richmond 2, Mariemont 1 — Sophomore Barb Ruark scored on a breakaway with 18 minutes remaining in the first half to give New Richmond the upset victory over No. 4 Mariemont. New Richmond last beat Mariemont three years ago.

        The Lions defense yielded no major scoring opportunities in the second half.

        Goshen 5, Fayetteville 3 — Sophomore Megan Marsh scored two goals in the second half to break a 3-3 tie. Marsh scored the go ahead goal with 15 minutes remaining on Ashley Day's assist.

        St. Ursula 1, Mercy 0 — Audra Mathews scored from 20 yards out with 24 seconds to play in the first half on a centering pass from Becca Bullard to hand last season's state runner-up their its second loss.

        Emily Barnes recorded her sixth shutout of for the season. , with the only goals allowed coming in a 3-2 loss to No.2-ranked Columbus DeSales on Saturday.
       

        Boys soccer

        Northwest 1, Ross 0 — Kyle Hamrick scored on a direct kick from 25 yards out with 13:24 remaining left in the first half for the game's lone score while Brian Galvin set aside 14 shots for the shutout.

        Finneytown 5, Reading 0 — Chris Horwarth scored a career-high four goals. He en route the victory, he now has nine in four games.
