LAWRENCEBURG, Ind. — The city will hold its popular Fall Fest Sept. 27-29 downtown.

        Featured guests include country singer Chris Cagle and Leroy Ellington and the E Funk Band.

        The event is free.

        The event began three years ago as Octoberfest. The name was changed and the Fall Fest organized by the I Love Lawrenceburg Committee of the Lawrenceburg Main Street Association.

        Last week, the headliner, singer-guitarist Lonnie Mack, canceled his appearance at the show. He was expected to be a major attraction because he grew up in Aurora, Ind.

        “He had to cancel for health reasons,” said Jennifer Clayton of the Dearborn County Convention, Visitor and Tourism Bureau.

        On Friday, The Sundowners and Jimmy Thomas perform 5-7 p.m. The E Funk Band performs at 9 p.m.

        Mr. Cagle will sing at 9 p.m. Thursday. Other acts that night include The Branson Sisters and Quartermile.

        On Saturday, an open car show is noon to 8 p.m., with musical groups and a fireworks display at 10 p.m. The last show is by Joe Stanley and the Renegades at 11 p.m.
