Free checkups for depression
The Cincinnati Enquirer
National Depression Screening Day happens every year. But today the event takes on more significance with people affected by the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
Thousands of mental health professionals will be available nationwide today, including at three organizations in Greater Cincinnati, to provide free screenings for depression and for signs of post-traumatic stress syndrome.
Screenings will be offered through Deaconess Hospital, Mental Health Services East and the First United Church of Christ.
For information, call (800) 520-NDSD or check online at www.mentalhealthscreening.org.
