Sandwich chain adds location

WEST CHESTER TOWNSHIP Jersey Mike's Subs is now selling its deli sandwiches at the new Bigg's Plaza at the intersection of Union Centre Boulevard and Ohio 747. The shop offers more than 20 hot and cold submarine sandwiches and also provides catering services.
West Chester is a great location for our store, said Jersey Mike's regional director and franchisee Joe Clark.
The chain, which began on the Jersey shore in
1956, operates 19 locations in Greater Cincinnati.
Hours of the new sub shop are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday-Saturday. Information: 860-2697.
Builder chosen for Kroger store
The general contracting firm of Reece-Campbell, Inc. has been chosen by the Kroger Co. to build the grocery store chain's new store in North College Hill. The 73,000-square-foot store will be on Hamilton Avenue at its intersection with the Ronald Reagan Cross-County Highway.
The project introduces a new prototype store for Kroger. Construction will begin this month, and company officials hope to have the new store open in the spring.
Reece-Campbell Inc. has been building in the Tristate area since 1982. Information: 542-4600.
Surgery center marks anniversary
GLENDALE The Facial Surgery Center, operated by Joseph J. Moravec, M.D., is marking its fifth anniversary. An open house provided a special thank-you to patients and the Glendale community.
Dr. Moravec and his staff were on hand to answer questions and discuss procedures performed at the clinic.
Tours of the center and skin peel demonstrations were part of the open house. Attendees participated in a drawing for a customized skin-care package.
Facial Surgery Center is at 1130 Congress Ave. The center specializes in cosmetic procedures as well as treatments for ear, nose and throat afflictions. Information: 772-2442.
Advertiser acquires logo provider
FORT MITCHELL Niehaus Advertising Specialties has acquired Reis Promotions. Brandon Reis will join the company as vice president.
Niehaus provides corporate logo items for company promotions, trade shows, employee recognitions, golf outings and holiday gifts. The company's clients include Comair, Drees, Peoples Bank and Embassy Suites.

Jeweler opens Florence outlet
FLORENCE Whitehall Jewellers opened in Florence Mall last month. The company, which sells gemstones, white gold and a wide selection of diamonds, operates nearly 400 stores in 37 states.
Whitehall grew from an enterprise started by immigrant brothers Hugo and Al Marks in Chicago in 1895. By 1946, the brothers owned the largest jewelry franchise in Chicago's downtown market. From there the business expanded into other major cities and began appearing in shopping malls during the 1960s. The company became established under three brand names: Marks Bros. Jewelers, Lundstrom Jewelers and Whitehall Co. Jewellers.
