Miami QB gets honors

Last-second TD bomb won game

By Cincinnati Enquirer

Redshirt freshman quarterback Ben Roethlisberger earned his third Mid-American Conference East Division offensive player of the week honor. He established school records for passing yards (399) and total offense (485 yards) and completed a 70-yard touchdown pass as time expired in a 30-27 win Saturday against Akron.

        • Junior forward Andrea Cunningham (McAuley) was named MAC women's soccer player of the week. Cunningham, who has 11 goals in the last 11 games, has already tied Miami's single-season records for game-winning goals (5) and multiple-goal games (4) this season.

        • Junior outside hitter Kelly McCullough was named MAC East Division player of the week in volleyball for the second time this season.
