Police investigate 3 bank robberies
The Cincinnati Enquirer
Police in two states are searching for suspects in two bank robberies in Ohio and a credit union robbery in Kentucky on Friday.
There were no injuries in any of the robberies.
The first robbery was 11:17 a.m. at Firstar Bank in the 9100 block of Winton Road in Springfield Township.
Springfield Township police said a man entered the bank and demanded money. No weapon was displayed. After leaving with an undisclosed amount of cash, he headed west on foot.
The robber was described as black, in his 30s, 5 feet 9 inches tall. He was wearing a denim jacket, white baseball cap and sunglasses.
It was the second such robbery in the township this week. Police are still looking for a black male in his 20s who robbed a Fifth Third Bank Tuesday, just two blocks away.
Minutes later, at 11:30 a.m., the Park Federal Credit Union on Turfway Road in Florence was robbed by a man who brandished a silvery pistol and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The robber was described by bank employees as white, about 6 feet tall and 40-50 years old, weighing 200 pounds with dark hair and a dark beard.
At Franklin Savings & Loan Co., 11186 Reading Road, in Sharonville, a man walked into the bank just before 3 p.m., displayed a weapon and fled with cash, Sharonville Police Sgt. Keith Schoonover said.
The suspect, who was described as black, and 5 feet 7 inches tall, was last seen running south on Reading Road. Witnesses said he was wearing a green shirt and carrying a backpack, Sgt. Schoonover said.
