Wright State course could benefit NSA
By Ben L. Kaufman
The Cincinnati Enquirer
Responding to a nudge from the National Security Agency, Wright State University has created a course program that will grant students a Certificate in Research and Intelligence Analysis.
Program director Jan Gabbert said NSA and other intelligence agencies have lots of data but they need back-room people who try to make sense of all of this.
The certificate program is housed in Wright State's College of Liberal Arts and is designed for intellectually curious liberal arts students and graduates who want to learn or enhance analytical talents.
In addition to the $30 application fee, each of the required certificate credits costs $142.
Dr. Gabbert said the certificate fits neatly into a Wright State liberal arts degree, but students might have take some courses to complete the prerequisites.
