Sharonville craft show boasts 110 artisans

The Greater Cincinnati Folk Art & Craft Show, in its ninth year, will feature more than 110 artisans when it opens Friday at the Sharonville Convention Center.

The juried show will run through Nov. 4. Friday is Collectors Night, when some of the artisans will unveil new creations. A sampling of exhibitors:
Lori Baker of Mount Vernon, Ohio, has Baker & Co. Designs Ltd., mohair hares, teddy bears and other creatures, all covered in heirloom-quality mohair from England and Germany. No two creatures are alike. Prices start at $225.
Stan and Sue Jennings of Thornton, W.Va., have Allegheny Harvest Treenware. Treen is an Old English or Saxon word for any small wooden utensil used in the kitchen, dairy or pantry. The line includes more than 120 items carved from cherry, oak and walnut, priced $20-$300.
During the show, master crafters will demonstrate their skills.
