Congrats
Degree in pharmacy awarded
Christopher Dadas received a doctor of pharmacy degree in June, from the Albany College of Pharmacy, N.Y.
He is the son of Rosalyn and Alex Dadas, Maineville.
Scholarships given
The Glenmary Knights of Columbus No. 5674 awarded the Sandy Newman Memorial Scholarships to children of living or deceased members of the Glenmary Council.
First place winners of $2,000 awards: Kerrie Lech, the daughter of Linda and Frank Lech of Pleasant Run. She is a senior at McAuley High School; Michelle Rockey, daughter of Kathleen and Donald Rockey of White Oak. She is a freshman at Ohio State University.
Second place winner of $1,000 award: Michael Sause, the son of Kimberly and Eric Sause of Forest Park. He attends St. Xavier High School.
Honors graduate
Tricia Giessler graduated cum laude in psychology from Xavier University. She is a University Scholar and a member of Alpha Sigma Nu, Jesuit Honor Society.
Art show award
Zachary Beckner, a third-grader at Concordia Lutheran School, won a first-place award for his Japanese watercolor at the Firth Third Bank Summer Art Show at MainStrasse Village.
