More 'Neighbor' hosts needed
More hosts have signed up this week to hold a conversation on race as part of the Neighbor to Neighbor initiative.
The conversations will be held during November and early December. So far, more than 100 conversations are planned. The goal is to get people to agree on an action they can take to improve race relations in their community.
Groups and individuals in these communities agreed this week to hold a conversation: Deer Park/Silverton, Kenwood, Blue Ash, Fairfield, Fort Mitchell and at the College of Mount St. Joseph.
But many more hosts are needed for the initiative to reach its goal of a conversation in each city neighborhood and suburb. If you live in Hamilton, Mariemont, Milford, Evendale, Fort Thomas, Glendale or Liberty Township, consider hosting a conversation.
Hosts are asked to provide a space for a meeting of 20-25 people, and to spread the word in their neighborhood or group to get people to attend. Trained facilitators will be provided.
You can sign up and get more information at Cincinnati.com/neighbors. Call Dave Hofmeister at (513) 755-4145 if you have questions.
