LEBANON — A Kettering, Ohio, man is suing the Humane Society of Warren County, saying the organization illegally removed his 20 horses from his Waynesville farm last month.

        Richard M. Thomas and his adult daughter, Jennifer Thomas Smith, say five people identifying themselves as officers of the Humane Society of Warren County entered the farm without a warrant, threatened Mrs. Smith and made her sign documents releasing the animals to them. Mr. Thomas is demanding that the 12 quarter horses and eight miniature horses be returned to him. He also seeks damages.
