Man who died on hood of car identified

The Cincinnati Enquirer

Cincinnati police have identified the shooting victim who climbed onto a parked car at a College Hill intersection Wednesday night before dying.

The motorist who called police from the intersection of Glenview Avenue and Kirby Road at 8:46 p.m. Wednesday didn't realize that Brian Steele, 33, had been shot several times.

Homicide investigators said they did not have a home address for Mr. Steele.

The motorist said Mr. Steele was standing in the middle of the intersection, and staggered as he climbed onto the hood of the car, police said. When police arrived, Mr. Steele was still on the hood.

Police did not say whether Mr. Steele was taken to a hospital or was pronounced dead at the scene. It also was not immediately clear whether Mr. Steele was shot at the intersection or shot elsewhere and left there.

Anyone with information is asked to call the homicide unit at (513) 352-3542 or Crime Stoppers at 352-3040.
