        Christmas Open House: More than 35 businesses in historic MainStrasse in Covington have planned entertainment, food and, of course, shopping for their Christmas Open House 11 a.m.-6 p.m. today and Nov. 17 and noon-5 p.m. Sunday and Nov. 18. Information: (859) 491-0458

        The old-fashioned shopping village also will have a special event 6-8 p.m. today with gift drawings, a faux fur raffle, and Bengals and Pacers ticket giveaways — all to benefit the Salvation Army. Information: (859) 431-0032.

        Seminar: Designers will give decorating demonstrations throughout the holiday open house 10 a.m.-6 p.m. todayand noon-4 p.m. Sunday at Kordenbrock Interiors in Crescent Springs.
