COLUMBUS, Ohio Grant Marshall scored the game-winner on a power play with 5:38 left in the third as the Columbus Blue Jackets beat the Anaheim Mighty Ducks 3-2 Friday night.
Ray Whitney and Serge Aubin also scored for Columbus.
Sergei Krivokrasov and Oleg Tverdovsky had Anaheim goals.
Panthers 2, Sabres 0
BUFFALO, N.Y. Viktor Kozlov scored both goals and Trevor Kidd made 31 saves as the Florida Panthers beat the Buffalo Sabres 2-0 Friday night.
Florida's win broke a three-game losing streak, while Buffalo has lost three of its last four and seven of 10.
Kidd, in his first start in 11 games, gained his first shutout since blanking Columbus on Nov. 17 of last year.
Thrashers 4, Predators 4
ATLANTA Defensemen Todd Reirden and Karlis Skrastins traded goals late in the third period Friday night as Nashville and Atlanta skated to a tie.
Greg Classen, Vitali Yachmenev and Greg Johnson also scored for the Predators.
Atlanta got goals from Pascal Rheaume, Ilya Kovalchuk and Lubos Bartecko.
Red Wings 8, Wild 3
DETROIT Steve Yzerman and Luc Robitaille each had two goals and an assist as Detroit beat Minnesota.
Yzerman got the 650th goal of his NHL career, and Robitaille collected his 601st and 602nd, moving him past Jari Kurri into 12th on the all-time list.
Detroit's Brett Hull picked up two assists to reach 1,200 points for his career.
It was the most goals given up by Minnesota in its two-season history.
Nicklas Lidstrom, Brendan Shanahan and Boyd Devereaux added goals for Detroit.
Minnesota got goals from Richard Park, Aaron Gavey and Andrew Brunette.
Oilers 7, Blackhawks 1
EDMONTON, Alberta Josh Green and Anson Carter each scored twice as Edmonton routed Chicago, yet lost inspirational leader Ryan Smyth to a broken ankle.
Smyth, Edmonton's leading scorer with 23 points, left the game in the first period with a broken right ankle. He is expected to miss 10-12 weeks.
Mike Comrie, Jochen Hecht and Todd Marchant also scored for the Oilers.
Alexei Zhamnov scored for Chicago.
Avalanche 1, Islanders 0
DENVER Patrick Roy posted his second straight shutout, and Shjon Podein scored as Colorado beat New York.
Roy, who beat Minnesota 1-0 on Wednesday night, earned the 55th shutout of his career. He previously had back-to-back shutouts in 1990 while playing for Montreal.
Roy finished with 31 saves, and Chris Osgood had 27.
The Islanders, who had the best start in franchise history at 11-1-1-1, have gone 0-3-1 in their last four outings.
