Promotions & new on the job




        • Lisa Rowell has been named partner at Infrastructure Services Inc., an engineering firm. Ms. Rowell joined the company in 1996. She has been project engineer and marketing coordinator. She will direct business development efforts.She was previously employed by the city of Cincinnati, where she was the first minority and female bridge inspector for the city and the county. She graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering.

        • Dr. Jacquelyn M. Belcher, president of Georgia Perimeter College, has been appointed to the board of trustees at Knowledge Works Foundation.

        • Amy Russell has been named manager in the financial institution practice department of J.D. Cloud & Co. L.L.P.

        • Jan Akers has joined Sibcy Cline Realtors as specialized real estate sales associate, Lakota Beckett office.

        • John Rudy has joined Schwartz Laboratories as director of sales and marketing.

        • Barbara Groh has joined the office of Dr. Debra McIntosh as director, dental hygiene. Ms. Groh is a registered dental hygienist and a graduate of Southwest Texas State University. She has more than 26 years experience in the dental health field. With a degree in hospital administration, she possesses a combination of dental hygiene skills in patient care with administrative credentials.

        • Corinne Monroe has joined Comey & Shepherd Realtors as an associate specializing in residential sales, West Chester Township office.

        • Heidi Clarke has joined The Benchmark Group, an advertising agency, as account supervisor. Ms. Clarke will be responsible for building and growing client relationships, monitoring profitability and training and mentoring account associates. She was in beauty care brand management at Procter & Gamble. She graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a bachelor's degree in marketing.

        • The following Greater Cincinnati-area lawyers have been appointed chairs of the Ohio State Bar Association: Gerald L. Baldwin, Cynthia M. Cleves, Charles R. Dyas Jr., Susan Grogan Faller, Saundra N. Fried, Roger Gates, Billie J. Grey and William B. Strubbe.

        • Karol Wolf has been named assistant vice president of the Ohio Casualty Group.

        • Kathryn M. Tazic has been appointed vice president of Sedgwick Claims Management Services Inc.

        • Mimi O'Connell has joined the Creative Department as junior art director.

        • Randy Thesken has been named director of sales and marketing for Diversified Design Dynamics, an engineering, design and consulting firm in West Chester Township.

        • Timothy J. Herr has joined U.S. Financial Life Insurance as executive vice president and chief operating officer. Mr. Herr was with Mutual of Omaha for 19 years. He will be responsible for underwriting, new business, information systems, human resources, and policy owner services. He has been in the insurance industry since 1978 and has a bachelor's degree in mathematical sciences from the University of Iowa.

        • Shannon Staton has joined PC Service Masters as computer technician.

        • Curtis D. Britt and Jeffery W. Cranston have joined Reisenfeld & Associates as associates. Mr. Britt will be practicing in the area of foreclosure and Mr. Cranston will be practicing in the area of bankruptcy.

Awards & honors

        • John Fidder, advanced financial adviser with American Express Financial Advisors received the President's Recognition Award.

        • Russ Wiles, president of Heidelberg Distributing, received the Wholesaler of the Year Award from the Wholesale Beer and Wine Association of Ohio.

        • Northern Kentucky Convention & Visitors Bureau received eight Traverse Awards from the Kentucky Tourism Council.

        • Dr. Ellen Frankenberg, president/chief executive officer of Business Family Solutions LLC, was awarded a certificate in Family Business Advising with Fellow Status by the Family Firm Institute.

        • Grover Photography in Hamilton was awarded two honorable mention awards for its children's portraiture in the 2001 Fujifilm Children's Portrait Awards Contest. A panel of judges from the commercial imaging division of Fujifilm along with professional photographers selected the portraits by Francis Grover of Grover Photography.
