SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Peja Stojakovic scored 25 points, and Doug Christie had 23 points and seven assists as the Sacramento Kings remained unbeaten at home with a 113-77 victory over the Houston Rockets on Monday night.

One night after a loss to the Lakers at Staples Center, Sacramento got its fifth convincing win of the season at Arco Arena.

Scot Pollard had 12 points and 14 rebounds while starting his 11th game for Chris Webber, whose sprained ankle could keep him out at least two more weeks.

The Kings led by 20 points early in the second half and never were threatened by Houston, which began a four-game road trip by losing to Sacramento for the eighth time in nine meetings. The Kings' reserves even increased the margin when both teams emptied their benches midway through the fourth.

Except for Steve Francis, who had 18 points and six assists, the Rockets played a listless first half, quickly falling behind as the Kings hit waves of jump shots. Houston never recovered, losing for the fourth time in five games.

        Nuggets 99, Nets 96, OT

DENVER — Nick Van Exel hit two free throws and a 3-pointer in overtime as part of his 30 points, and the Denver Nuggets beat the New Jersey Nets.

Van Exel, who was 12-for-30 from the field, had missed a 3-pointer that would have won the game at the end of regulation. Raef LaFrentz added 25 points as the Nuggets won for the fifth time in six games.

Kenyon Martin had 28 points. Jason Kidd had 13 assists, but only five points on 2-for-14 shooting. New Jersey has its first two-game losing streak of the season.
