Turfway meet starts Sunday

        Kentucky thoroughbred racing shifts to Turfway Park, beginning at 1:10 p.m. Sunday, for its 27-day holiday meeting. Live racing will be conducted Wednesdays through Sundays.

        First post will be 5:30 p.m. weeknights and 1:10 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. There will be a special holiday post time of 1:10 p.m. from Dec.26 through Dec.31. Live racing picks up Jan.1 with the start of the 2002 winter/spring meet.

        CHURCHILL DOWNS:

        The field for Saturday's Grade II $200,000-added Golden Rod Stakes for 2-year-old fillies is expected to include Walmac Alcibiades winner Take Charge Lady (owned by Select Stable of Cincinnatians Jerry and Feye Bach); Arlington-Washington Lassie and River Downs Pepsi Bassinet winner Joanies Bella; Pocahantas winner Lotta Rhythm and Carl Nafzger-trained and lightly raced Belterra.
