She plans to attend one of nine information sessions beginning Mondayat churches in Greater Cincinnati. The meetings duplicate a series of sessions held last month.
But the legendary preacher's June 27-30 revival at Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati will be the first to drop the long-used crusade title. Because of Muslim sensitivities after Sept. 11, the evangelist decided to drop the term.
Dr. Graham has a message that we all need to hear, especially at this time in our country and our city, said Ms. Lindner, of Madeira.
The meetings are aimed at pastors, but Suzane Byrne, a member of the Graham team, said all are welcome.
We want to get the basic information out, Ms. Byrne said.
She said next week's meetings are designed to attract churches. More specific information on the large-scale revival such as being a counselor or member of the choir will come later.
The Rev. Larry Davis, pastor of First Baptist Church in Cold Spring and a revival vice chairman, said about 300 of some 2,800 churches within a 50-mile radius have expressed interest in participating.
Ms. Byrne said 48 denominations are represented.
The Graham people say the number of churches that respond will triple by the time the (date) comes around, Rev. Davis said.
