NKU women 74, Lewis 43
ROMEOVILLE, Ill. Michelle Cottrell scored 20 points and grabbed 11 rebounds Saturday as Northern Kentucky University posted a 74-43 win at Lewis University.
Bridget Flanagan added 16 points for NKU, which improved to 2-0 overall, 1-0 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. The Norse used a 14-2 run to begin the second half to extend a 26-20 halftime lead to 40-22.
Cottrell (Boone County) now has 1,757 career points and 38 double-doubles. She needs just 127 points to become NKU's all-time scoring leader.
