Man struck outside stadium still critical
One week after he was hit by a car outside Paul Brown Stadium, Stewart Williams remained in critical condition Sunday night at University Hospital.
The 21-year-old Middletown man was one of six pedestrians hit at Second and Elm streets when a car ran a red light. Scott Asbrock, 15, of Mason, was killed.
Four other pedestrians, including Cincinnati Police Officer Jon Harris, were treated and released or have been discharged from the hospital.
Darrin Stafford, a 30-year-old Evansville, Ind., man who is paralyzed from the waist down, was driving the Kia Sportage that plowed through a crowd of Bengals fans walking to the game, according to Cincinnati Police.
Mr. Stafford was charged with aggravated vehicular homicide and three counts of aggravated vehicular assault. His passenger and owner of the vehicle, Frederick Shipman, 43, of Evansville, is charged with complicity to aggravated vehicular homicide, three counts of aggravated vehicular assault and criminal damaging.
