Teen hurdles onto cola label
By Sarah Buehrle

MASON David Clay, a Mason High School freshman, recently got a letter telling him to take a moment to step back, bask in all your glory and know that you are officially cooler today than you were yesterday because his photo will run on Jones Vanilla Cola bottles.
Jones Soda Co., whose slogan is Run with the little guy, chose a photo of David in eighth grade running a 200-meter hurdle race.
I feel special because in the letter it said that less than 2 percent of people get accepted, David said.
The bottles will be distributed nationwide through January, spokeswoman Lisa Ward said.
We get a lot of the same stuff, like people with sunglasses on their dogs, Ms. Ward said. The whole idea of the way he was jumping over the hurdle kind of cracked us all up.
