Restaurant files for Chapter 11
The owner of Burbank's Real Bar-B-Que in Sharonville has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
Dining Concept Inc. filed the petition late Monday in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Cincinnati.
Jim Whitaker, DCI's president since August, said the filing will give us a breathing spell, during which DCI will continue to operate while we formulate a plan to repay DCI's creditors.
Mr. Whitaker confirmed that local radio personality Gary Burbank, a DCI shareholder who originated the Memphis-style cuisine served at the restaurant that bears his name, was not involved in its decision to file bankruptcy.
