A local chiropractor will join family practice chiropractors across the country to support the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve's Toys for Tots campaign for needy children.

During the week of Dec. 17-21, Finke Family Chiropractic, 7809 Laurel Ave., Suite 10, Madeira, will give free service in exchange for a toy.

Christine Finke, wife of Dr. Matthew Finke, said the public is invited to take advantage of free health and wellness information, free spinal screenings and chiropractic care.

“This is our first year of participating in the campaign,” she said.

She said the office will be open Monday through Friday. Toys will be picked up on Dec. 22.

“It is just one small way that chiropractors can have a "hands-on' impact on health care and social needs in our community,” said Dr. Finke.

He said 16 million toys were collected last year and distributed nationwide to 6.3 million children.

About 60,000 chiropractors nationwide will participate in the Toys For Tots campaign this year.
