Flea market vendors appear in court

LEBANON Five men accused of selling counterfeit brand-name garments and watches appeared in court Monday after a weekend roundup at Turtle Creek Flea Market that netted five vanloads of knock-off merchandise worth $50,000.
Warren County sheriff's officials said the men, who worked independently but knew each other, were selling fake Tommy Hilfiger, FUBU and Nike clothing and accessories, Oakley sunglasses and Seiko watches from booths at the Monroe establishment.
Private investigators working for the manufacturers tipped sheriff's detectives to the alleged fraud, said Lt. Jerry Mays, head of the sheriff's criminal investi gations section.
All these guys do is run across the country and sell their stuff, Sheriff Tom Ariss said. They are cheap imports.
Four of the men remained in the Warren County Jail in lieu of $12,000 cash bonds following their arraignments in Lebanon Municipal Court.
They are:
Elhadji Camara, 45, of New York City, charged with felony trademark counterfeiting.
Abou Modi Diallo, 38, of Cincinnati, charged with felony trademark counterfeiting.
Jian Min Lu, 35, of Brooklyn, N.Y. charged with felony trademark counterfeiting.
Sekou Sesay, 36, of Cincinnati, charged with misdemeanor trademark counterfeiting.
Xio Bin Huang, 32, of Flushing, N.Y., was released on bond. He faces felony counts of trademark counterfeiting and record piracy, a charge levied after officers confiscated $1,600 of pirated CDs, police said.
Sheriff's deputies seized five vans and a car, which authorities said were used to transport and sell the goods and $2,700 in cash.
