Waagner extradited to Ill.
'Most wanted' faces charges on gun, escape
By Marie McCain
The Cincinnati Enquirer
One week after he was spotted inside a Springdale Kinko's, Clayton Lee Waagner was ordered returned to Illinois to face sentencing on a federal gun charge, along with prosecution on an additional charge of escape.
Mr. Waagner, 45, was among the FBI's 10 Most Wanted. He fled from the Dewitt County Jail in Clinton, Ill., in February while awaiting sentencing on the initial gun charge.

On Wednesday, U.S. Magistrate Timothy Hogan approved the extradition.
Mr. Waagner, dressed in a blue jumpsuit with his hands cuffed in front of him, said he did not object to the extradition.
No reason to fight this. After all, I did escape from there. I'm anxious to see how it proceeds, that's all, he told reporters.
Mr. Waagner is wanted in connection with many crimes in multiple states, including bank robbery in Pennsylvania and West Virginia and possession of explosives in Tennessee.
He is also suspected of sending more than 500 fake anthrax letters to abortion clinics nationwide.
His federal public defender, Kelly Johnson, said Mr. Waagner has already been indicted for escape in Illinois.
He added that his client could face 15 years to life for the federal gun charge, along with an additional 10 years if he is convicted of the escape charge.
Mr. Waagner was arrested Dec. 5 after being spotted by a clerk inside the Kinko's on Princeton Pike near Tri-County Mall. The clerk recognized him from a Most Wanted flier.
Mr. Waagner had rented computer time at the chain so often that the U.S. Marshals Service warned the company to be on the lookout for him. At the time of his arrest, Mr. Waagner had $10,000 cash, computer components in his pocket, and a .40-caliber handgun in his waistband.
He drove a stolen 1999 Mercedes-Benz taken off the lot in Fargo, N.D. A white, powdery substance found inside the car was later determined to be insecticide. It was not lethal to humans.
