The Cincinnati Enquirer
A Cincinnati police cruiser and a minivan collided on rain-slick streets Friday night, injuring the police officer.
An ambulance transported the officer, whom police did not identify, to University Hospital with head injuries, officials said, but it was not known whether he was seriously injured. He appeared conscious when he was placed in the ambulance.
The minivan driver, whom relatives identified as Leon Thompson, 20, of Lincoln Heights, was uninjured.
The accident occurred about 10:30 p.m. Friday on Reading Road, north of Ridgeway.
