Miami QB transferring to Ohio U.
Miami University has allowed sophomore quarterback Ryan Hawk to transfer to Ohio University, effective next month.
Hawk will sit out a year before becoming eligible to begin practicing with the Bobcats in the spring of 2003. He'll be eligible to play the following fall and will have two years of eligibility left.
Freshman Ben Roethlisberger, who emerged as a top quarterback this season, has virtually locked up the position for the foreseeable future.
