$61K grant aids environmental cleanup efforts
The Cincinnati Enquirer
FOREST PARK This Hamilton County city that takes pride in its environment recently received a $61,631 recycling grant from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.
The city will use the money for educational outreach in the schools, litter cleanup and a curbside recycling effort for large ap pliances.
This grant allows us to stretch our limited resources far beyond what could otherwise be accomplished by a community of our size, City Manager Ray Hodges said. It is a great feeling to be recognized for having foresight, leadership and success in an area as important as environmental awareness.
