Grants assist tourism promotion
LEBANON The Warren County Convention and Visitors Bureau has awarded $67,000 to area nonprofit tourism organizations to assist their tourism promotion and marketing efforts.
Executive Director Shirley Bonekemper said this is the eighth consecutive year for the bureau's grant assistance program. Sixteen grants were awarded for 2002. Some organizations received more than one grant.
Recipients of the Tourism Assistance Grants: the cities of Lebanon, Mason and Springboro; Fort Ancient State Memorial, Franklin Area Historical Society, Franklin Area Junior Historical Society, Joint Advertising Committee, Lebanon Antique Dealers and Merchant's Association, the Warren County Historical Society Museum, and the Waynesville Area Chamber of Commerce.
Recipients of the Tourism Information Center grants: Chambers of Commerce in Lebanon, Springboro and Waynesville.
