Bellisari to play in Outback
Georgia Tech will announce new coach
The Associated Press
TAMPA, Fla. Ohio State quarterback Steve Bellisari will play but might not start in the Outback Bowl after being arrested last month for drunken driving.
That much I can tell you, coach Jim Tressel said of his lineup for the game Tuesday against South Carolina.
Bellisari has been on the practice field this week, working with the offense and on special teams, where he played as a freshman. He hasn't played since Nov.10.
GEORGIA TECH:
The school will announce its new football coach, with Miami Dolphins assistant Chan Gailey reportedly set to succeed George O'Leary.
School officials wouldn't confirm that Gailey was their choice, though Georgia Tech said Tuesday it was negotiating with him. Several media outlets reported this week that Miami's offensive coordinator had accepted the job.
The announcement will come two days after Georgia Tech beat No.11 Stanford 24-14 in the inaugural Seattle Bowl. Mac McWhorter served as interim head coach for the bowl but was never considered a serious contender to keep the job.
