Congrats


St. X grad named to Good Works Team

        John Richardson, senior offensive guard at Boston College, was named to the 2001 American Football Coaches Association Division I-A Good Works Team. He is a St. Xavier High School graduate.

        The Good Works Team honors players for their dedication and commitment to community service. Mr. Richardson founded “Another Choice on Campus,” a social group that sponsors substance-free events. He also volunteers with students with multiple disabilities, and has taught at a vocational school for students with autism.

        Mr. Richardson, a fifth-year senior, graduated in the spring with a bachelor's degree in psychology. He is pursuing a master's degree in counseling psychology.

Doctor wins award

               Brett Coldiron, M.D., who practices in Avondale, was awarded the 2001 Outstanding Dermatologist of the Year Award by the Ohio Dermatological Association.

UC dean's list

               Cincinnatus Scholarship winner Diane Naegel, was named to the summer dean's list at the University of Cincinnati.

        The junior fashion design major co-oped with Katherine Baumann, a handbag designer, in Beverly Hills fall quarter.

        The St. Ursula Academy graduate is the daughter of Sarita and Mark Naegel of Green Township.

Air Force training

               The following airmen have graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas:

        Katharine Ruprich, a graduate of St. Ursula Academy and daughter of Beth Ventura of Price Hill; Talmadge Williams,graduate of Princeton High School and son of Christopher Williams of Lincoln Heights; Michael Maxey, graduate of Oak Hills High School and son of Rose Maxey of Delhi Township; Dorian White, graduate of Hughes High School for Teaching and Technology and son of Joyce Moorehead of Bond Hill; Ryan Kees, Western Hills High School graduate and son of Susan and Edward Kees of Cheviot; DeDe Tumulty, graduate of Mount Healthy High School and daughter of Cheryl and Dennis Tumulty of Colerain Township; and Benjamin Bruner, graduate of Mount Healthy High School and son of Sandra Hodge of Colerain Township and David Bruner of Sedamsville.
