The Cincinnati Enquirer
MADISONVILLE, Ky. An Illinois woman died from injuries she suffered in an early-morning accident on the Western Kentucky Parkway, according to the Kentucky State Police in Madisonville.
Two Chicago residents were also injured in the Saturday accident.
Camille D. Closerides, 32, of Addison, Ill., died after the Chevy Blazer she was riding in struck a guardrail and overturned in the eastbound lane of the Western Kentucky Parkway at 12:45 a.m. Saturday.
Chicago residents Dan E. Jeffries Sr., 51, and the other passenger, Jacob T. Jeffries, 12, were transported to the Regional Medical Center in Madisonville. Hospital officials say Mr. Jeffries is now being held for observation while the boy is in serious condition.
Ms. Closerides was also transported to the medical center, where she died about six hours later.
The second vehicle, a tractor-trailer driven by Scott A. McGhee, 29, Evansville, Ind., with passenger Kelli Kenney, 25, Evansville, was traveling east on the parkway, and the driver didn't see the other vehicle, police said.
Neither Mr. McGhee nor Ms. Kenney was seriously injured.
