Police think deaths were accidental
Police are awaiting autopsy results on two deaths that occurred Sunday but they said they expect both were accidental.
Vicki Poulos, 40, of Price Hill, was found dead inside a Westwood apartment on Queen City Avenue about 4:50 p.m.
Clarence Devaughn called 911 after Ms. Poulos did not wake up. The two had been drinking since 2 a.m., Mr. Devaughn told authorities. He said he woke her about 3 p.m. and she spoke to him, then went back to sleep.
Earlier Sunday, shortly after 5 a.m., a Price Hill infant died at Children's Hospital after being rushed there Saturday from the Western Hills Wal-Mart store.
Anthony Robert Thomas Needom, 4 months old, stopped breathing after his mother, Tamara Needom, zipped her coat over him to keep him warm as he was strapped to her chest in a sling, said Cincinnati police Sgt. Lisa Thomas of the Homicide Unit.
Both deaths are suspected to be accidental, said Captain Vice Demasi, commander of the Criminal Investigation Section.
