Enquirer reports
HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. Craig Sanders scored 20 points Thursday night as Northern Kentucky University defeated Wisconsin-Parkside 70-55 in Regents Hall.
Sanders, a graduate of McNicholas High School, scored 12 points in the first half as NKU (10-4, 6-2 Great Lakes Valley Conference) built a 36-21 lead. The Norse held UWP (10-4, 6-2) to just 36.5 percent shooting from the field and led the entire game.
This was a game we had to win, and we came out and did a good job against an outstanding team, NKU coach Ken Shields said. Craig Sanders hit some key shots for us, and he's stepping up in a big way right now.
Sanders has scored in double figures in 34 consecutive games. The NKU record for consecutive games in double figures is 39, held by Brady Jackson.
Bobby St-Preux added 13 points and nine rebounds for NKU, and Brenden Stowers scored 11 points.
