WASHINGTON Tomas Kaberle scored his second goal of the game with 14:21 left in the third period as the Toronto Maple Leafs earned a 3-3 tie with the Washington Capitals on Friday night.
Kaberle, unchecked, darted to the left post to convert a cross-ice feed from Darcy Tucker for his fifth goal of the year.
Mikael Renberg also tallied for the Maple Leafs, who are 4-1-1 in six games.
The Capitals, who have dropped four of five, played without wingers Peter Bondra and Jaromir Jagr. Their status for Saturday's game in Florida is unknown.
Bondra, whose 24 goals and 41 points lead the team, missed his second consecutive game with the flu.
Jagr, who has 15 goals and 25 assists, sat out after straining his groin in Wednesday's victory over Columbus.
Ken Klee, Dainius Zubrus and Sergei Gonchar scored for the Capitals.
Washington's Adam Oates had two assists, and is now one assist shy of becoming the eighth player in NHL history with 1,000 for his career.
Senators 4, Panthers 2
SUNRISE, Fla. Daniel Alfredsson had a goal and an assist and Patrick Lalime made 23 saves as Ottawa beat Florida.
Alfredsson's 22nd goal tied the game at 1 in the first period. Ottawa then bolted out to a 4-1 lead in the second period, scoring three goals in a 4:10 span.
The Senators have won five of their last eight games, collecting 12 points in the stretch.
Ricard Persson and Mike Fisher also scored for Ottawa.
Viktor Kozlov and Valeri Bure, playing for the first time after missing 36 games with a knee injury, scored for Florida.
Thrashers 1, Flames 0
ATLANTA Milan Hnilicka had 37 saves and Hnat Domenichelli scored a second-period power-play goal to give Atlanta the victory over Calgary.
Hnilicka earned his second shutout this season and fourth overall. He has faced at least 30 shots in 25 games and entered with 1,077 shots against this year, seven less than NHL leader Mike Richter of the New York Rangers.
The Flames outshot the Thrashers 37-20.
Domenichelli scored 7:53 into the second period, redirecting Yannick Tremblay's slap shot from outside the left circle and beating Turek's stick side.
Wild 2, Mighty Ducks 2
ST. PAUL, Minn. Paul Kariya ended a seven-game scoring drought with the game-tying goal as Anaheim tied Minnesota.
Marty McInnis also scored for the Ducks, who snapped a five-game losing streak but remained winless in their last seven games (0-5-2).
Filip Kuba and Antti Laaksonen scored for Minnesota, which lost a 2-0 lead.
