The Cincinnati Enquirer
Tristate members of Congress were not large beneficiaries of campaign contributions from Enron's political action committee and its employees.
According to data compiled by the Center for Responsive Politics, Sen. Richard Lugar, R-Ind., received $5,750 from 1989 to 2001. Sen. Evan Bayh, D-Ind., received $2,000.
Sen. Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., received $4,000, while Sen. Jim Bunning, R-Ky., received $769.
Sen. Mike DeWine, R-Ohio, was given $1,500. There were no contributions from Enron's PAC or employees to Sen. George Voinovich, R-Ohio.
The only House members from the area to receive contributions were Reps. John Boehner, R-Ohio; Steve Chabot, R-Ohio; Ted Strickland, D-Ohio, and Baron Hill, D-Ind. Each was given $500.
