College-Conservatory of Music is using a menu of entertainment and an age-based ticket price to lure young arts lovers to the University of Cincinnati campus with “A Moveable Feast.''

All of the CCM performing spaces will be filled with samplings of dance, music and theater starting at 7 p.m. Feb. 1. Tickets are matched to age: $20 for twentysomethings, $30 for thirtysomethings, $40 for fortysomethings and $50 for everybody else.

Performances begin every 30 minutes and include: the Philharmonia Orchestra performing the Third Movement from Mahler's Symphony No. 3; excerpts from contemporary comedies; excerpts from the opera The Crucible; excepts from ballet and contemporary dance; a look at the musical theater training program and the creation of the acting/dancing/singing “triple threat” in Gotta Sing! Gotta Dance!; chamber music including Beethoven, Kreisler and Franck.

The goal, says CCM Dean Douglas Lowry, is to offer “a sampling... of CCM's artistic wares” including works in progress “and a backstage peek into supporting elements.” The evening will include tours of the scene and costume shops and lighting laboratory.

A Moveable Feast will raise money for financial assistance, scholarships and career development for CCM students. For reservations and information call (513) 556-2100.
