Ducks edge Cleveland before crowd of 9,724

        Defenseman Antti-Jussi Niemi scored a power-play goal 46 seconds into overtime to lift the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks to a 3-2 victory over the Cleveland Barons Saturday night in the AHL at the Gardens.

        Steve Brule scored the tying goal on a rebound with 10 seconds left in regulation for Cincinnati, which extended its unbeaten streak to five games (4-0-1-0) and moved two points ahead of second-place Cleveland in the Central Division.

        Jason Williams chipped in with a pair of assists for the Ducks, who improved to 6-2-0-0 against Cleveland this season and raised their record to six games above .500 for the first time this season (23-17-4-2).

        Ilja Bryzgalov, a second-round pick by Anaheim in 2000, had to make only 10 saves for the win, as the Ducks allowed a franchise-low 12 shots against.
