Congrats


Student returns from Ireland stint

        Holly Miller, a junior at Eastern Mennonite University in Harrisonburg, Va., participated in a cross-cultural program in Ireland during fall semester. She is the daughter of Joy and James Miller of Wyoming.

Named to dean's list

               Maggie Lynch, a junior operations-management major, was named to the autumn quarter dean's list at the University of Cincinnati. She is the daughter of Tess and Doug Lynch of Delhi Township.

Academic achiever

               Stephen Eadicicco, a senior majoring in finance, economics and international studies at Indiana University's Kelley School of Business in Bloomington, is the recipient of a Hal and Ruth Keeling Merit Award based on academic merit.

        The graduate of Lakota West High School is the son of Joan and John Eadicicco of West Chester Township.

Coca-Cola honoree

               Anthony “Miles” Sinclair, a graduate of Sycamore High School, has received a Coca-Cola First Generation Scholarship.

        The freshman at Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, is the first in his family to attend college.

AP Scholars listed

              

        Eight members of the Class of 2001 of Summit Country Day School have been named AP Scholars based on their performance on national college-level advanced-placement exams.

        Lauren Hoeck and Marta Passerini are AP Scholars with Distinction, earning an average of at least 3.5 on all exams taken, and grades of 3 or higher on five or more exams.

        Shannon Antoine, an AP Scholar with Honor, earned an average grade of at least 3.25 on all exams taken, and grades of 3 or higher on four or more exams.

        Frank Albi, Cory Battin, Sarah Berhalter, Michael Billmire and Lauren Conners qualified as AP Scholars by completing three or more exams with grades of 3 or higher.

Scholarship awarded

               Senior accounting major Eric Schnieber was awarded the Walter Fritsch Memorial Scholarship for academic merit at the School of Management, Purdue University, West Lafayette, Ind.

        He is the son of Geraldine and Dennis Schnieber of West Harrison, Ind.
