Avery back with Mighty Ducks

        The Detroit Red Wings returned center Sean Avery to the AHL Cincinnati Mighty Ducks.

        Avery, 21, had two assists with 25 penalty minutes in 14 games with Detroit this season.

        The 5-foot-9, 188-pounder has 14 goals, six assists in 32 games this season for Cincinnati.
