        OHIO:

Withrow High graduate Brandon Hunter, who leads the Bobcats in scoring and rebounding, was suspended for Saturday's home game with Marshall for violating team rules. Coach Tim O'Shea would not reveal what Hunter did wrong after a last-second 74-73 loss to Akron Wednesday night.

“Brandon is a wonderful kid who simply used poor judgment after a very difficult loss,” coach Tim O'Shea said. “Hopefully he will grow and we will grow as a team from this lapse in judgment.”

Hunter, a junior, averages 17.8 points and 9.4 rebounds a game.

        TENNESSEE:

Junior forward Ron Slay had surgery to fix a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee, suffered Jan.19 against Syracuse. Recovery takes six to 12 months.
