Ursuline swimmer wins Big 12 honor
Texas junior swimmer Erin Phenix, an Ursuline Academy grad, was named the Big 12 female Swimmer of the Month.
An 11-time All-American, Phenix was undefeated in the 50- and 100-yard freestyle during the month of January, serving as a key contributor in UT's victories over then-No. 2 Georgia on Jan. 11 and then-No. 8 Florida on Jan. 12. The Longhorns are ranked No. 2, their highest ranking since March 20, 1994.
