Industry notes: Real Estate

Mortgage company to expand

Ohio Financial Group will move its corporate headquarters from Springdale to Blue Ash.

The mortgage firm signed a 17,000-square-foot lease at Duke Realty Corp.'s Lake Forest Place building in Blue Ash, bringing the building to a 95 percent occupancy rate.

The firm, moving from a much smaller office at Executive Plaza in Springdale, needs the extra space for an expansion that will take it into new markets. The firm expects to beef up its loan origination, processing, telemarketing and other staff from 56 to 150.

Driving the company's growth is a strong housing market and aggressive marketing, said partner Anthony Pickett.

Joe Judge of Staubach Co. represented Ohio Financial.

Steel maker moves

Southwestern Ohio Steel will move its offices from Hamilton to West Chester.

The steel maker signed a lease for more than 20,000 square feet at Centre Pointe II in West Chester. The 10-year lease brings the 120,000-square-foot Centre Pointe II to 85 percent leased.

Jeff Carey of Carey Laumer Commercial Realty represented Southwestern Ohio Steel. Bob Ryan of Colliers International represents Centre Pointe.

Wire One signs lease

Corporex Cos. snared a 50,000-square-foot lease at its Miamisburg Commerce Center near Dayton, Ohio. Hillside, N.J.-based Wire One Technologies will use the space as an operations and distribution center for its videoconferencing business.
