        Andrew L. Kolesar, partner in the Cincinnati office of Thompson Hine LLP, has been appointed to the firm's Lawyer Personnel Committee, which is responsible for associate training and mentoring. Mr. Kolesar is a member in the firm's environmental practice group. He has a law degree from Georgetown University, a master's from Ohio State University and bachelor's from Virginia Military Institute.

        • Peggy Schenck has been appointed clinical manager of the cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology laboratories at The Christ Hospital.

        • Natalie A. Levy and David Bertke have joined Comey & Shepherd Realtors as associates specializing in residential sales in the Wyoming office.

        • William Appleton has been appointed partner-in-charge of the law firm Baker & Hostetler LLP, Cincinnati office. Mr. Appleton joined the company in Cleveland in 1978 after graduation from New York University Law School and did corporate legal work for the Scripps organization. Since the opening of the firm's Cincinnati office in 1997, he has continued to advise Scripps and other companies on mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings and other business matters.

        • Kevin Mulcahy has been appointed vice president, division III at First Vehicle Services, provider of fleet maintenance services.

        • Lara Wardlow has been named general sales manager at the Newport Aquarium.

        • Steve Denison has joined Carey Laumer Commercial Realty as vice president, industrial services.

        • Kevin L. Westerbeck and Peter T. Horton have joined BHDP Architecture as intern architects.

        • Bradley C. Stegman has been named director of information services at Ward Financial Group, and Carey L. Bush to senior consultant.

        • Dan O'Neal has been named vice president of operations for Executive Jet Management Inc.

        • James G. Boeddeker has been named senior vice president of sales and marketing for Selection.com, provider of pre-employment verification and screening services, based in Cincinnati.

        • Rachel J. Ekeroth has been named program manager of the Business for Russia/Community Connections Program at the International Visitors Council of Greater Cincinnati.

        • Chip Storie has been appointed vice president of marketing for Cincinnati Machine's Advanced Systems and Service Business. Mr. Storie is responsible for advertising, contract management, export license approvals and metalcutting and composites application services. He has been with the company for 14 years and has a bachelor's in engineering and a master's in business administration from Tennessee Technological University.

        • Jay A. Korros has been named project manager in the traffic section at CDS Associates Inc. — Engineers, Architects, Planners, and Surveyors.

        • Robert G. Kramer, a professional motivational speaker and retired former owner of the Kramer's Sew & Vac stores, has been appointed vice president of membership for the Northern Hills Toastmasters Club.

        • Scott Carroll, Hani R. Kallas, and Phillip J. Smith have been named partners in the law firm of Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP, Cincinnati office.

        • Lanita J. Adkins has joined Gradison McDonald Investments as an investment consultant in the downtown office. Ms. Adkins graduated from the University of Cincinnati. She was a financial adviser with Prudential Securities in Jacksonville, Fla. Her focus includes individuals and businesses with emphasis on educational, retirement, and estate planning. She has been in the insurance/investment industry since 1987. She is a published author and lectures for small groups upon request.

        • Joining Sibcy Cline Realtors as specialized real estate sales associates are Michael J. Tocash, West Chester office and Dan Waters, Harrison office; and Anne Collins joined the Anderson office as sales associate.

        • Ann Ruley Combs and Karen A. Carroll have joined the law firm of Kohnen & Patton LLP as partners and Jeffrey M. Hines has joined the firm as an associate in the practice of medical litigation defense of area hospitals and physicians.

        • Thomas A. Hayes has joined KMK Consulting Co. LLC as vice president.

        • John Dinon has been appointed director of animal conservation programs at Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden.

        • The following have joined Anneken & Moser, PSC Certified Public Accountants: Brett Spaulding, staff accountant; Kanda McKee, business tax compliance specialist; Karen O'Sullivan, tax compliance specialist; and Josh Rust, tax compliance trainee. Teresa Cox has been named vice president and James K. Burns joined the firm as vice president.

        • Sarah E. Hillman has been appointed staff graphic designer at Wilker Design.

        • Dianne Ganslein has joined MarketVision Research as vice president, business development. Ms. Ganslein has 20 years of experience designing and managing quantitative research for Fortune 500 companies. She has held senior positions with a number of marketing research firms including AcuPOLL, Promotion Decisions, IRI, and Burke. She has a degree in marketing from the University of Akron.

        • Thomas J. Hempel and Richard A. Spottz have joined Comey & Shepherd Realtors as associates specializing in residential sales in the West Chester office.

        • Andrea Steward has been named director of organizational effectiveness at Health Alliance; Kyle Taylor, vice president of financial services at the Health Alliance; Pamela VanSant, vice president of administration at University Hospital; and Trish Zapanta, corporate director of patient accounting for the Health Alliance.

        • Jonathan Groch has been named vice president at Fifth Third Bank; Kevin Scherpenberg, assistant vice president, and Kevin J. Nolan, assistant cashier.

        • Paula Clapper has joined the Real Estate Book as sales representative for the Cincinnati West and Butler/Warren editions. Ms. Clapper has worked in the real estate industry for 17 years, formerly holding positions with Harmon Homes Magazine, as the Cincinnati East area sales manager, and as a Greater Cincinnati area Realtor, where she achieved President's Club status. She will be offering print/Internet advertising and marketing assistance to Realtors.

        • Joeliene Magoto has been named executive director of the Civic Garden Center of Greater Cincinnati.

               • Al Cambridge, treasurer of Ohio Valley Goodwill Industries received the Outstanding Leadership Achievement Award from the Inclusion Network.

        • Scott A. Brooks, a financial adviser with the Florence office of American Express Financial Advisers, received the President's Recognition Award.

        • Margaret H. McCollum, partner at Casper & Casper in Middletown, has been named as a Lawyer of the Year by Ohio Lawyers Weekly.
