Evanston woman found dead in street

        Cincinnati Police identified a woman whose body was found lying in an Over-the—Rhine street early Saturday.

        The body was identified as Leesie Woods, 23, of the 1800 block of Kinney Avenue in Evanston. Her death has been ruled suspicious, and evidence has been sent to a crime lab.

        Officers found Ms. Woods' body shortly before 6 a.m. while responding to a report of someone passed out in the 200 block of Henry Street.

        The autopsy report was not available Saturday.

        Anyone with information is asked to call the homicide unit at 352-3542 or Crime Stoppers at 352-3040.
       

Prime suspect still eludes cowhunt

        A runaway cow that prompted a manhunt Friday was still missing late Saturday.

        The beige cow was last seen Friday afternoon entering Mount Storm Park off Lafayette Avenue in Clifton. Searchers were unable to locate the animal in the heavily wooded park.

        Police said the cow apparently escaped early Friday from the Ken Meyer Meat Co. on Sidney Avenue in Camp Washington.
       

Prisoner recaptured after escape from ER

        FLORENCE — Police apprehended a prisoner who gave them the slip in a hospital emergency room.

        John A. Bushong Jr., 28, of Williamstown was arrested Thursday at Florence Mall on an outstanding warrant. Police received a tip that a shopper was wanted for failing to appear in Clermont County court.

        Mr. Bushong complained of chest pains Friday when Clermont County Sheriff's deputies arrived to transport him to Ohio. Deputies took him to St. Luke Hospital West in Florence.

        When another patient became unruly and distracted deputies, Mr. Bushong ran out the hospital door. On Saturday, police arrested Mr. Bushong when he returned to the same hospital to get his heart checked out. He s in Boone County Jail, charged with second-degree escape.
       

Woman accused of beating daughter

        FOREST PARK — Police allege a 45-year-old woman struck her 13-year-old daughter with a belt more than a dozen times.

        According to a report released Saturday, Henrietta Thompson of the 11000 block of Kenshire Drive was arrested on a domestic violence charge on Valentine's Day.

        “The buckle end of the belt was used and broke,” a police report says, causing the teen to suffer cuts, bruises and abrasions on her arms, legs, face and back.
       

Man accused of sex with girl, 13

       A 37-year-old Wyoming man with AIDS is accused of repeatedly having sexual intercourse with a 13-year-old female, according to Cincinnati Police.

        Terry Fellezs of the 700 block of Burns Avenue was arrested Thursday on three counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor and three counts of felonious assault.

        The report didn't say whether the teen has been tested for HIV.
