Robberies strike bank, credit union in area

Two Greater Cincinnati financial institutions were robbed Wednesday, and the robbers were still at large Wednesday night.
A man armed with a handgun robbed the Fifth Third Bank branch on Cinema Drive in Miami Township in Clermont County Wednesday morning.
The robber entered the bank at 5855 Cinema Drive about 10:45 a.m. and demanded money. He fled with an undisclosed amount of cash and confronted a customer in the parking lot before driving off in a red Ford, police said.
The robber is described as a white man wearing jeans, a navy-blue jacket with a hood pulled over a ball cap, and sunglasses. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Michael Henderson at the Miami Township Police Department at (513) 248-3721.
About 3:45 p.m., a man entered the Chaco Credit Union at 601 Park Ave. in Hamilton and handed a teller a note demanding money, police said. The robber fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The robber is described as a white man in his mid-20s, about 5-foot-8 and 165 pounds with dark hair. He was wearing a black stocking cap, a white or light-colored hooded sweat shirt and dark jeans.
The Hamilton Police Department, (513) 868-5811, is handling the investigation.
