Council approves further studies
The Ohio-Kentucky-Indiana Council of Governments voted to allow further study of three other possibilities for accessing Middletown Regional Hospital's Greentree Road site:
Upgrading Greentree between Cincinnati-Dayton and Union roads.
Building one-way limited-access roads from Greentree to Ohio 63 and Ohio 122.
Widening and realigning parts of Union Road from Monroe to Franklin.
OKI made decisions on several other I-75 proposals, including:
Further study was authorized for improvements to interchanges at Ohio 63 and the Michael A. Fox Highway, both in Butler County, and Ohio 122 and Ohio 73, both in Warren.
Study was halted on the possibility of adding an interchange at Manchester Road in northern Warren County.
Engineers will study making improvements to older Hamilton County interchanges, such as the one at Lockland, instead of eliminating them altogether.
